Cross-country Maria Luggau

In the Lesach Valley, everything is possible from classic cross-country skiing to Nordic crusing and stylish skating. The cross-country skiing highlight in the valley is the "Grenzlandloipe" along the Gail and over the Kartitscher Sattel, which also touches Maria Luggau. It measures 60 km in length and is one of the snowiest trails in Austria. So the pleasure of skiing is always guaranteed here. In addition, there is the 2.5 km long Dr. Lomoschitz trail, which is suitable for beginners.

The nearest cross-country ski trail from Maria Luggau is the "Sonnenloipe", which runs along a sunny plateau near St. Lorenzen. It is 5 km long and quite varied with ascents and some slight descents.For sporty skiing, a detour to Obertilliach to the cross-country skiing and biathlon centre is worthwhile. Here you can practise your marksmanship at the shooting range or do a few runs on the sporty circuits.
